MIG-27 is a low altitude fighter - bomber. The pilot's cabin is strongly armored. Gas tanks could be filled with inert gas, which tremendously rises its fighting power of survival. The main purpose of MIG-27 is to hit small targets in the rear of the enemy. It is also able to combat in air battles. The airplane has an automatic defense station, that has readouts of active obstacles and devices that warn about radiation, and fake targets, and passive hindrances. MIG-27 is fully armed. It has a six-barrel 30 mm cannon (GSH-6-30). Controllable as well as uncontrollable rackets could be hooked up to the outside hanging knots. It is able to carry up to 4000 kg of bombs (8820 pounds).
